Abstract
Purpose: To evaluate the benefits, disadvantages, barriers and facilitators to a newly introduced clinical support worker role. To explore how Clinical support workers feel their role has change, specifically in relation to feeling valued as part of the multi-disciplinary team, job satisfaction and role boundaries. At the time of design, as far as the author was aware, no other study of this type, looking at a similar project had been conducted in purely a stroke rehabilitation unit setting.
