Abstract
A 75 year-old patient objected to side rails on her bed. Miss Bardin noted that the patient was able to move freely. She asked permission to remove the casters from the bed to allow the patient to move in and out of bed more independently and with greater safety and comfort. (later notation: removed casters from bed.)
