Abstract

In the current time of changing technologies and improving lithium-ion batteries, electric vehicles are drastically changing their place in the automobile industry. As we move toward electric vehicles, there is a huge demand for charging these vehicles. We have seen companies install and locate fast chargers throughout cities, places, and towns. But maybe these solutions are not very effective in a hugely populated country like India. This paper focuses on addressing the problems faced by EV charging infrastructure in the current world. Installing an EV charging station requires permission and space to park the vehicle. But if we move towards the rural areas of the country, there are very few possibilities for finding a proper EV charging station. Not only charging stations but what if an EV owner has a low battery and is unable to locate the best nearby charger or the best time to arrive at his or her destination? This can lead to people moving further away from buying an electric vehicle. This paper focuses on an idea to solve these issues by introducing an AI algorithm and geofencing techniques to connect EV owners with charging stations. introducing home charging services that enable any EV owner who has an EV home charger to lend the charger to people who are looking for a charger to charge their EV by using geofencing to locate and guide the person through our application. Our AI algorithm enables a person to run when they are about to run out of battery, which suggests to the owner of a nearby charging station at what percentage they should charge their EV so that they can reach their destination in the required time. Although this isn't the best solution to solve the EV charging infrastructure but can be the first step to solving the EV charging infrastructure problems with a completely different approach. This paper focuses on an idea to solve these issues by introducing an AI algorithm and geofencing techniques to connect EV owners with charging stations. The proposed AI algorithm enables a person to run when they encounter that they are about to run out of battery, which suggests to the owner of a nearby charging station, up to what percentage they should charge their EV so that they can reach their destination in the required time.
