Abstract

European investment in the computer-aided design industry has been small in comparison with the scale of effort in the USA, whose companies dominate the supply market. This paper reviews the individual policies on implementation and development of CAD adopted by France, West Germany, the UK, Sweden and Norway, and considers the case for a strong European presence in the CAD supply industry.
