Abstract
When evaluating the compliance of a radiocommunication station with the limits of exposure to radiofrequency electromagnetic fields (RF EMF), the technical staff should measure the field at some points near the radiocommunication station. This procedure is usually done using the intuition of the staff. To overcome this fact, this letter shows how to calculate the region of maximum exposure to RF EMF due to a radiocommunication station. The method was tested using measurements made in Brasília/Brazil and in Aarhus/Denmark. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 57:1330–1332, 2015
