Abstract
The determination of age of an individual has a considerable importance in Medicolegal field and is encountered frequently in connection with questions of criminal responsibility, validity of marriage contract or nullity of marriage, kidnapping, rape, eligibility for employment and awarding of judicial punishment etc.

The different points observed in the present study with respect to each of the epiphysis were the Youngest subject's earliest age in whom the epiphysis was found to be fused with its diaphysis, Eldest subjects exact age beyond which all the cases was found to be www.ssjournals.com fused with its diaphysis and In fixing the range of union for general purposes by assuming the age at which 100% cases showing complete union was the upper age limit
Stage III: Recent union, here there is a complete union between the epiphysis and diaphysis
Summary
The determination of age of an individual has a considerable importance in Medicolegal field and is encountered frequently in connection with questions of criminal responsibility, validity of marriage contract or nullity of marriage, kidnapping, rape, eligibility for employment and awarding of judicial punishment etc. It is the most important duty of the Government of a civilized country to look after the interests, rights and security of its citizens by efficient justice. The determination of age of an individual has a considerable importance in Medico legal field.
