Abstract

The electron spin resonance (ESR), resistivity and magnetic susceptibility of La 2− x− y Er y Sr x CuO 4− δ (0.15 ⩽ x ⩽0.35 and y = 1% of La content) in the superconducting and in the normal state were investigated. The temperature dependence of the ESR linewidth can be understood by the Orbach relaxation process. No distinct change of the ESR linewidth could be observed at the transition temperature T c ( x).
