Abstract

The authors argue in favor of reforming world language education, suggesting that issues of social justice be addressed by teachers and used as motivation for language teaching. They cover the need to change teacher development as well as curricula to become more relevant for modern students. Promoting cultural and identity awareness is also discussed.
