Abstract
Psoriasis is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory skin disorder with complex pathogenesis,in which inheritance may play a most important role.Recently,a series of studies have demonstrated that epigenetic mechanisms are involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis.Epigenetics refers to stable and inheritable changes in gene expression without any changes in DNA sequence, and its mechanisms include DNA methylation, histone modification and regulation by noncoding RNA such as RNA interference.Understanding the epigenetic mechanisms in psoriasis is of great importance for the clarification of pathogenesis and for the development of effective therapeutic modality. The authors summarize recent findings in epigenetic mechanisms in psoriasis,in the hope of providing clues and directions for future research in this field. Key words: Psoriasis ; Epigenesis, genetic ; Methylation
