Abstract
ABSTRACT The genus Epactris Meyrick, 1905 is recorded from China. E. capulus sp. nov. is described and illustrated, as the first record of this genus from China. The new species is very similar in appearance to E. alcaea from India, but it can be distinguished easily from the latter based on the characters of forewing. The adult photos of those two species and a photo of the male genitalia of the new species are provided. All type specimens of the new species are deposited in HUNAU (Institute of Entomology, Hunan Agricultural University, China).
