Abstract
(4 S,6 S)-4-Hydroxy-1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane ( 2) and (4 R,6 R)-4-acetoxy-1,7-dioxaspiro[5.5]undecane ( 3) were prepared by asymmetric hydrolysis of (±)-3 with pig liver esterase.
