Abstract

The present study on “Entrepreneurial behaviour of ginger growers” was conducted in the year 2020-21 in Buldana district. for this study 60 respondents were purposively selected with the help of random sampling method. Frequencies, mean, S.D, co-efficient of correlation were used to analysis of data. The result of the study showed that, 43.33 per cent of respondents belonged to middle age group, 28.33 per cent of respondents educated up to junior college level, majority of 60.00 per cent of the respondents had Agriculture as a occupation, 61.67 per cent of respondents had annual income upto Rs.3,33,333, 38.33 per cent of respondents possessed semi-medium land holding, 50.00 per cent of respondents had put upto 0.36 ha area under ginger crop, 91.67 per cent of respondents had well or tube well as their source of irrigation, 70.00 per cent, 55.00 per cent and 58.33 per cent respondents had medium extension contact, medium social participation and scientific orientation, respectively. Majority of 73.33 per cent of respondents had medium level of entrepreneurial behaviour. Whereas majority of 90.00 per cent of respondents faced constraints of fluctuating prices of ginger in market.
