Abstract

The subject of this paper is the historical development and some characteristics of English law comparing with law of the countries of continental legal circle. In this paper are analyzed particular stages in the historical development of the English law, with effort to explain the impact of historical circumstances on the establishment and subsequent development of certain legal institutions specific to English, or Anglo-American Law. The author analyzes some key issues regarding the organization of courts in England and some other characteristics of English law comparing with law of the countries of continental legal circle.
