Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the use of scholarly and nonscholarly sources in engineering Master of Science theses. Research questions included how usage of different types of sources varied by department, whether students are using scholarly sources, and whether Rowan University Libraries provides access to the sources students are citing. This citation analysis provides in-depth information about engineering citing practices that may be useful to other engineering librarians in supporting their graduate students’ research.
