Abstract

A semiclassical collision model has been used to calculate differential cross sections for rotational and vibrational excitation of CO 2 colliding with Ne and Xe. For NeCO 2 a previously determined semi-empirical potential surface was used. Recent electron-gas data were used to determine the short-range XeCO 2 interaction.
