Abstract

A functional ceramic powder has been produced by melting in a solar furnace (Big Solar Furnace, Parkent) a charge with grain size about 1 µm that is based on iron, chromium, calcium, magnesium, and copper oxides. Several photo-heat-photon converters have been produced that are based on polyethylene film of thickness 100 µm and the functional ceramic. It is shown that the use of the polymer-ceramic photo-heat-photon converter substantially improves the energy transfer process.
