  • Юлія Танасійчук

The article reveals a hierarchy of concepts “healthy way of life” and “healthy lifestyle”. It is established that the most complete relationship between a healthy way of life and a healthy lifestyle is expressed in their comparison. A healthy way of life is characterized by typical forms and ways of cultural daily life of the individual, which combine norms, values, meanings that regulate activity and its result, strengthening the adaptive capacity of the body, contribute to the full unrestricted performance of its educational, social, biological functions. The subject of a healthy way of life is the creator of various forms of life with a social character ‒ society. The bearer of social-typical features of life is an individual, who, at the same time, acts as the subject of his own healthy lifestyle, reflecting his personality in the implementation of a healthy way of life. Subjectivity in a healthy way of life can be expressed to a greater or lesser extent, depending on the individual characteristics of the individual and his or her active stance of health preservation. The difference between a healthy way of life and a healthy lifestyle, where there is a large proportion of the individuality, is revealed. A healthy lifestyle is not an integral part of a healthy way of life, but an embodiment of the latter at the personal level, including worldview, behavioral and activity components. It is proved that the distinction between “healthy way of life” and “healthy lifestyle” is fundamental when it comes to the presence of a certain level of personality and subjectivity, which allows the individual to choose his own healthy way of life from a number of alternative, adequate and internal essence, which is focused on self-actualization.

  • Jul 5, 2024
  • International Journal of Energy Economics and Policy
  • Nusrat Farzana + 2 more

Our research explores the nexus between digital finance inclusion, technological innovation, good governance, renewable energy, and carbon neutrality in the top 30 remittance-receiving countries, focusing on the period from 2001 to 2020. Through comprehensive panel data analysis employing SH tests, CSD tests, CADF tests, D-H causality tests, and robustness checks, we investigate the impacts of these factors on carbon emissions. This study uncovers a positive relationship between digital financial inclusion and reduced carbon emissions, suggesting that access to digital finance can significantly lower carbon footprints. This aligns with prior research indicating that digital finance mitigates the need for traditional banking and paper transactions, thus contributing to environmental sustainability. We also find that remittances have a beneficial impact on carbon neutrality efforts, as they often fund investments in clean energy technologies and sustainable development initiatives. However, the expansion of digital financial services has been linked to increased energy consumption and electronic waste, highlighting the complexity of its environmental impact. Furthermore, our findings underscore the critical role of effective governance in achieving carbon emission reduction goals. Countries with transparent, accountable, and efficient governance systems tend to implement ambitious climate policies successfully. Additionally, technological innovation emerges as a pivotal factor in transitioning to a low-carbon economy, with innovation in clean energy technologies playing a significant role in reducing carbon emissions. Our analysis reveals strong positive correlations among digital finance, remittances, technological innovation, good governance, renewable energy, and carbon neutrality. The study suggests several policy recommendations to enhance sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. These include investing in renewable energy, improving governance practices, leveraging digital financial services and remittances for sustainable development, and fostering global collaboration. By implementing these strategies, countries can make significant strides toward environmental sustainability and carbon neutrality. This research contributes valuable insights into the interconnectedness of digital finance, remittances, governance, innovation, renewable energy, and carbon emissions. It offers guidance for policymakers and stakeholders on crafting effective strategies for sustainable economic development and environmental protection, emphasizing the importance of an integrated approach to achieve global carbon neutrality goals.

Sustainable Development and Environment Conservation: A Comparative Study on Protecting Environmental Human Rights
  • Nov 6, 2024
  • International Journal of Academic Research in Business and Social Sciences
  • Mohammad Abdul Hannan + 1 more

Preserving the environment and promoting sustainable development are essential steps in attaining a strong and balanced global ecosystem. The relationship between these principles and human rights has attracted considerable attention in recent years, influencing both international and state laws. This brief seeks to illustrate the intricate relationship between sustainable economic development, the preservation of the environment, and the protection of human rights. It highlights how these elements may work together to guarantee a fair and thriving future for everyone. Sustainable development means to meet the necessity of the present without compromising the resource of future generations. This concept can be categorised into three main elements: economic expansion, societal involvement, and ecological durability. The concept of environmental human rights is increasingly being associated with sustainable development and environmental preservation, indicating a global tendency to recognise the inherent entitlement to a sound and unpolluted environment. The Escazú Agreement and the Aarhus Convention exemplify this trend by giving precedence to procedural environmental rights, such as the right to access information, engage in public decision-making, and seek legal redress. These rights are crucial for protecting the right to a pristine environment. The Escazú Agreement places particular emphasis on the importance of equality and non-discrimination for marginalised groups, including indigenous peoples and environmental defenders. This establishes a strong connection between the conservation of the environment and broader concerns related to human rights. Hence, the purpose of the inquiry is to assess and compare the effectiveness and approaches of environmental conservation and sustainable development projects in protecting environmental human rights in different areas. The study examines the relationship between sustainable development, environmental protection, and environmental human rights, as highlighted in the Escazú Agreement and the American Convention on Human Rights. This study examines the current legal frameworks in place to safeguard the environment of Bangladesh while promoting economic growth. This study employs a descriptive, thematic, and doctrinal legal research technique, together with an integrated literature analysis, to examine legal mechanisms that promote a harmonious connection between economic development and the protection of environmental human rights.
