Abstract
The molecular-dynamics method is used to show that complexes of nearby gap discrete breathers (DBs) may exist in crystals having NaCl structure with strongly differing masses of components at zero temperature. It is established that complex-forming DBs may be involved in energy exchange, which is an additional channel for energy transfer throughout such crystals. The results obtained can be used to discuss the experimentally found phenomenon of ordering gap DBs in NaI crystal at 555 K.
