These savings can facilitate access to education and improve the health status of the people through improved nutrition. Thus, energy can play an important role in ensuring food security as the previously mentioned energy deprived farmers now can use modern technologies for agriculture. These technologies would also help generate additional income for poor households in rural Bangladesh.
