Abstract

INVASIVE MONITORING is routinely used in critically ill patients as well as for major surgeries. Although central venous catheters are an integral part of patient management, their use is not without complications. An uncommon yet potentially lethal complication of central venous access is development of a pseudoaneurysm after inadvertent puncture of the corresponding artery.1-3
