Abstract

The acoustic analogy of the endfire radio antenna sounds simple. But in practice the body or “baffle” supporting the acoustic array tends to destroy the endfire patterns. Some designs are discussed wherein the baffle is converted from a necessary evil to a thing of advantage. The array consists of resonant projectors.
