Abstract

Objective Clinical practice is the most important part of practical task for undergraduates majoring in anesthesiology. To adapt to the change of medical model, we introduced CBL teaching model into the clinical anesthesia practice, and explored the practical approach of CBL teaching model. Methods 80 selected undergraduates majoring in anesthesiology of 2000-2004 grade were trained in clinical practice based on CBL teaching model. The examination and questionnaire survey were carried out after the internship. Results 80 students have successfully completed their internship tasks, passed the examination and finished questionnaire survey. The students gained an average high score. The questionnaire survey showed that more than 80% of students believed the clinical practice training based on CBL teaching model had improved their ability. Conclusion The clinical practice model based on CBL has played an active role in clinical practice in anesthesiology department. As an effective adjunct to traditional teaching model, it should be optimized and perfected in future. Key words: CBL; Anesthesiology; Clinical practice
