Abstract

Abstract Visualization dashboards are used in the emergency room (ER) to provide employees with continuous access to vital patient information. Royal Commission Hospital in Jubail decided to implement an electronic dashboard in the ER, to improve the visibility of patient data. An electronic survey was administered to measure the end-user satisfaction with the dashboard among all physicians, nurses, and receptionists working in the ER, for which 51 responses were received. Generally, the staff was satisfied with the use of electronic dashboards in the ER. User satisfaction was positively correlated with the perceived impact of the dashboard's use on the efficiency of work and the quality of care. This study shows positive end-user interaction and satisfaction with electronic ER dashboards, which future studies can link to improved patient care.
