Introduction

As the standard of living rises and medical equipment and technology advance, average life expectancy continues to improve. The second leading cause of death in 2012 according to cause-of-death statistics provided by the Department of Statistics of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.[1] The mortality rate has increased annually. To accurately measure physiological information, the properties and composition of PPG signals must be clearly understood. The types of signals exhibiting motion artifacts and the causes of the motion artifacts must be analyzed to separate or remove the interfering signals. To address this need, in this study we proposed a method of eliminating motion artifacts
