Abstract
This work reports, for the first time, the electrospinning of the piezoelectric and ferroelectric polymer polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) by means of the bubble electrospinning technique. We focus our study in the effect of different applied voltages on the morphological and crystalline features of the PVDF bubble-electrospun nanofibers. The crystallinity of PVDF nanofibers that were obtained by this process was higher than that observed in traditionally synthesized PDVF powders. Is important to highlight that production rate of the obtained PVDF nanofibers was higher (13.93mL/h) than that of the reported traditional electrospinning (1–5mL/h).
