Abstract

Using suspended substrate striplines (SSS) a switched filter bank at L band has been designed and developed. Six SSS band pass filters, which cover the band of 1.05 to 2.15 GHz, have been designed with 200 MHz ripple bandwidth. The filter bank technology allows integration of low cost and high performance filters with switches. The design aspects and experimental results of filter, switch and filter bank are presented in this paper. The measured filter loss is 0.7 dB and overall switched filter bank loss is 4 dB, which includes the loss of the SSS filters, switches and cables. This filter bank has been developed with less impact on time and cost of development.
