Abstract

The electronic spectra of several disubstituted benzenes ( o-fluorophenol, m-fluoroanisole, hydroquinone, and p-dimethoxybenzene) were investigated in supersonic free jets. For all the molecules studied, the existence of rotational isomers was established, and the ionization potentials of the individual rotational isomers were determined by two-color multiphoton ionization spectroscopy.
