Abstract

The electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum of single crystals of Bi 12GeO 20 doped with iron ions has been measured at X band at temperatures between 4.2 and 200 K. The analysis of the experimenal data has shown that iron ions are in the 3d valence state and are located in a tetrahedral position. The spin Hamiltonian parameters have been determined. The temperature variation of the spin Hamiltonian parameters has been investigated and interpreted in terms of spin-lattice coupling.
