Abstract

Partial nl and total cross-sections for the low energy collisions Ar7+ + He(H2) at 35-70 KeV have been measured by photon spectroscopy. In addition to single electron capture, one electron capture with excitation of a core electron has been observed and measured. Comparisons with calculations based on the Extended Classical Over-Barrier (ECB) model and the assumption of conservation of angular momentum show good agreement between the experimental and predicted l-distributions.
