Abstract

Much of the extensive experimental data being generated by electron accelerators is difficult to interpret accurately because of the complexity of the electromagnetic cross section formalisms. The need for greater experimental and theoretical attention to these characteristic complexities is illustrated with the cross section analyses employed in recent experiments on the total nuclear cross sections for 10 to 70 MeV X rays.
