Abstract

The electrochemistry of films made from cationic surfactant DDAB containing C70 on a glassy carbon electrode was investigated in an aqueous solution, two couples of reduction/reoxidation peaks were found in the potential range from 0 to −1.0 V. Electrochemically stable fullerene modified electrodes were produced. The cast films of C70/DDAB were also characterized by SEM, XPS, and UV−vis. Furthermore, the electrocatalysis of hemoglobin at C70/DDAB films was studied.
