Abstract

With the consumption of fossil fuels, wind power is gaining more and more attention internationally. In recent years, China has also vigorously developed wind power generation. Therefore, the forecast of the annual output of wind power plays an important role in the stability of the power system. Based on the grey system theory, this article analyzes the change trend of the annual wind power generation in Liaoning Province, and proposes a method for forecasting the annual wind power generation in Liaoning Province by establishing a GM (1, 1) gray forecast model. Extensive case studies show that the proposed method can achieve accurate prediction of power generation.
