Abstract

Electrical resistivity and Hall effect have been studied in the Heusler-type Kondo alloys CeIn(Cu x Ag 1− x ) 2 with systematic concentration of x=1, 0.97, 0.9, 0.75, 0.5, 0.25, and 0. The system changes from antiferromagnetic for x=0 to heavy Fermion Kondo state for x=1. This result reflects the competition of RKKY interaction and Kondo effect. From these studies E F, n( E F), and | J| (Fermi energy, density of state at E F, and c–f exchange interaction, respectively) are independently estimated for the whole x according to the Coqblin–Schrieffer model. From these results the discussions based on Doniach's Kondo-necklace model are given.
