Abstract

Abstract The Ag 7 GeSe 5 I compound has been investigated by using electrical conductivity, DSC and X-ray diffraction. Ag 7 GeSe 5 I is a superionic conductor and the variation of its electrical conductivity can be explained by using the free volume model. This model explains satisfactorily the conductivity behaviour of superionic conductors with disorder in the cation sublattice.
