Abstract
We obtain the scattering times for intersubband transitions in GaAs-AlAs quantum wells under the influence of an electric field (parallel to the growth direction). The electron-interface-phonon (Fröhlich) interaction is taken into account and scattering times faster than 100 fs are obtained for quantum well widths between 150 Å and 160 Å.
