Abstract

A series of finite element analysis programs for the solution of elastic-plastic large deformation problems are developed, which are basically extended versions of the MAGNAP (Material and Geometric Nonlinear Analysis Program). The essence of the extension is to include the solution capability for the generalized plane strain problem, by organizing programs as quasi-three-dimensional ones. A target of the application has been the lamina compression test under the frictional condition, as a means of estimating the coefficient of Coulomb friction along a tool-work interface.
