Abstract
Recientemente Francia ha aprobado un paquete de medidas legislativas dirigidas a luchar contra el despilfarro de alimentos. La normativa francesa destaca por ser la primera en el marco europeo dirigida al cumplimiento de este fin y por su ambición, pues pretende atajar el desperdicio de alimentos desde distintos frentes. En este trabajo se realiza un análisis descriptivo y crítico de la normativa francesa con el objetivo de proporcionar al legislador estatal y autonómico, y a la doctrina, un modelo en el que inspirar una futura normativa de lucha contra el desperdicio de alimentos.
