Contribution to the jumping spider fauna (Araneae: Salticidae) of the Balearic island Ibiza, with the first description of Salticus ebusitanus sp. nov. and eleven first records for the island and four new records for the Balearic Islands. In the course of a survey of the jumping spiders of the Balearic island of Ibiza, 17 species from 11 genera were recorded. One of the species, Salticus ebusitanus sp. nov., is described as new. Eleven other species, Euophrys altera (Simon, 1868), Evarcha jucunda (Lucas, 1846), Heliophanus agricola Wesołowska, 1986, Heliophanus apiatus Simon, 1868, Heliophanus ramosus Wesołowska, 1986, Pellenes geniculatus (Simon, 1868), Phlegra bresnieri (Lucas, 1846), Pseudeuophrys vafra (Blackwall, 1867), Salticus confusus Lucas, 1846, Salticus mutabilis Lucas, 1846 and Salticus unciger (Simon, 1868), are first records for the island. Four of these, E. altera, H. agricola, S. confusus and S. unciger, are recorded for the first time on the Balearic Islands.
