Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of land area, seed, fertilizer, herbicide, and labor to corn production in Muna Regency. The research was conducted in January 2017 until August 2017. The location of the study was selected in Kabangka Sub District because it was the production center of Bisi-2 varieties of corn in Muna Regency. Data analysis used in this research is analysis of Cobb-Douglas production function. The results showed that urea fertilizer, Phonska NPK fertilizer, and labor have a significant effect on corn production in Muna Regency. The use of NPK Phonska fertilizer and labor has not been efficient so it needs to be added, whereas the use of urea seed and fertilizer is not efficient so it needs to be reduced. In the long run, maize varieties of Bisi-2 variety in Muna Regency tend to increase the decreasing yield.
