Abstract

Small delays in the feedback may destabilize the singularly perturbed system, which was stable without delay for all small enough values of parameter ∈. Sufficient conditions and necessary conditions for preserving stability for all small enough delays and ∈ are established in two cases: in the case of delay proportional to ∈ and in the case of independent delay and ∈ ≥ 0. In the second case (which includes descriptor systems with delays) the sufficient conditions are given in terms of LMI.
