Abstract

The novel (Ba0.96Sr0.04)(Zr0.04Y0.005Ti0.955)O2.9975 Ceramics with giant dielectric constant were sintered at different temperatures for different dwell time. The effects of sintering temperature and dwell time on the microstructure and dielectric properties were studied in detail. All ceramics have a single tetragonal phase with no second phase. The size and shape of ceramic grains varied with the sintering temperatures and dwell times. The ceramics exhibit satisfied dielectric property (ϵr ∼200066.8, tanδ ∼0.30023, at 0.1 kHz, 25°C) when the ceramics are sintered at 1350°C for 24 hour, which presenting a high potential to be used in applications of energy storage.
