Abstract

The optimum concentration of the plant hormone, indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), was determined for the stimulation of Coelomomyces psorophorae resistant sporangia (RS) germination. The effects of continuous incubation of RS in 19 hormones and related substances were assessed. IBA strongly enhanced germination; whereas, maleic acid hydrazide and β-(-2-furyl)acrylic acid inhibited germination.
