Abstract

Abstract This prospective study employed a specific technique rigidly adhered to in accomplishing paracervical blocks. By controlling several variables, 51 patients were given 87 paracervical blocks, with good effect, without fetal bradycardia occurring as a side effect. Direct and continuous fetal heart rate-monitoring techniques were used in all cases.
