Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of diary on health education for women with high risk HPV infection. Methods A total of 116 patients with high risk HPV infection from July 2014 to August 2016 were divided into intervention group and control group according to random number table, each with 58 cases. The patients of the control group received routine health education, while the patients of the intervention group received health education on the basis of the control group. The HPV infection, awareness rate of influencing factors of HPV infection and quality of life were compared between the two groups before and after interventions. Results After interventions, the influence factors of prognosis in patients with HPV infection including the first sex, number of sexual partners, age at first pregnancy, the frequency of sexual life, whether using condoms, sex prepuce and abortion times in the intervention group were significantly higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (χ2=3.896, 8.593, 9.757, 4.833, 6.327, 5.225, 6.327; P < 0.05) . Before and after nursing intervention, the improvement in the three dimensions of positive attitude, self-decompression, self-decision of the patients in the intervention group were significantly higher than that the control group (P<0.01) . Physical function, psychological function, social function, health self cognition and total quality of life scores were improved more in the intervention group than the control group (t=5.745, 4.768, 4.775, 4.334, 3.896; P<0.01) . After intervention for six months, the HPV clearance rate of the intervention group and the control group were 35/58 (60.34%) and (21/58) , respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=6.767, P=0.009) . Conclusions The application of the diary of the disease course for the health education in patients with high risk HPV persistent infection, can significantly improve the treatment compliance, and improve the patient′s HPV clearance rate, self-management ability and quality of life.
