Abstract

Motivated by recent work on stochastic ratchets, a probability current formula of nonequilibrium system which contains two thermal noises correlated with each other is presented. A simple imaginable ratchet system is discussed, it is found that, when the potential is spatial asymmetry, there are an advanced current reversal phenomenon and a postponed current reversal one as the intensity of correlations between noises varies; when the potential is spatial symmetry, the current reversal occurs at the case of uncorrelation between noises. The system exhibits a current in either direction, and the direction can be controlled by the intensity of the correlations between noises. The current reversal is due to the effects of correlations between noises.
