Abstract

An affine precoding and decoding (APD) method of channel estimation and data detection in the filter bank multi-carrier (FBMC) system is implemented, and it is found to be useful from bit error rate (BER) perspective. Effective average signal to intrinsic interference plus noise ratio ( SINR eff ) $(\text{SINR}_{\text{eff}})$ is derived theoretically and from this the optimum training power coefficient ( σ c opt 2 ) $(\sigma _{c_{\text{opt}}}^2)$ (for which BER is minimum) is derived and its closeness with simulation value is observed.
