Abstract

Novel compact fractal-shaped microstrip coupled-line bandpass filters employing Koch curves for suppression of the second harmonic are proposed, and their effective design procedure is provided. The proposed filters are implemented and measured, and the measurement results show the proposed filters achieved a maximum harmonic suppression of more than 60 dB, and a maximum circuit size reduction of 31%.
