Abstract

This research studied 5F-CUMYL-effects PICAs on white Wistar rats’ liver, kidney, and heart, as well as their biological and hematological parameters. 24 male albino rats were given orally for 14 days. Group 1 was the control; groups 2 and 3 received 5 and 50 mg/kg (bw) 5F-CUMYL-PICA. Liver and kidneys deteriorated in treated rats. Liver histological changes included inflammatory cell aggregation, cytoplasmic degeneration, karyolysis, venous congestion, hemorrhage, and edema, and steatosis degeneration. Renal tissue revealed tubule degradation and casts. Glomeruli atrophy and Bowman's space expand. Heart tissue and cardiac muscle fibers exhibited myocardial fiber degradation and inflammatory cell aggregation. Serum AST, ALT, ALP, CK, total protein, Albumin, Triglyceride, Total Bilirubin, Direct Bilirubin, Urea, Creatinine, HGB, RBC, HCT, and MCHC levels changed. According to this research, synthetic cannabis’ (5F-CUMYL-PICA) negative effects are worse on the liver and kidneys in group 3 than group 2.
