Abstract

Objective To understand the results of systematic training in nurse′s core competency on nursing quality control management. Methods A total of 40 neurology nurses received the systematic core competency training which based on the framework of COPA mode. The quality control management for special nursing care and first order care and inpatients satisfaction for nursing job were statistical analysis before and after training. Results After training, the quality nursing qualified rate was 96.1% for special nursing and first order nursing, higher than 76.5% before training (χ2=25.3, P<0.01); the inpatient′s satisfactions for nursing job were improved, with statistical significance compared with that of before training (P<0.05). Conclusions Systematic training in nurses core competency can significantly improve the quality of care, so it plays an important role in quality care.
