Abstract
Studies on the Cajander larch (Larix cajanderi) in the Amur region have been performed to evaluate the effect of growth conditions on the development of wood anatomical structure during ontogeny, including the course and rate of definitive (mature) wood formation. Adaptive changes in wood anatomy have been revealed in trees growing in waterlogged areas underlain by permafrost.
